Time Diary

TikTok was the tool I utilized the most over the last four days. I use this tool the most throughout the day. Sometimes I do not have much to do at work, and my employer doesn't mind if we use our phones. For the past four days, I spent at least one hour on TikTok and the second on YouTube. Because I always have my phone with me and because I do my homework on my computer, I don't use it for social media I use my phone as my favorite platform. I frequently watch videos on YouTube and TikTok at night. After finishing my homework, I normally spend an hour or so watching YouTube before going to bed. I use TikTok to communicate with two of my pals and my girlfriend a lot. Normally, we send each other humorous or informative movies. To my buddies, I frequently send soccer and funny videos. The readings  I chose for this week are “ Information tools” by Beth Saxton and “ What is an RSS feed ?” by Coletta Whitehead. I found both of these readings exciting and informative. I have never heard of an RSS and it was nice learning about something new. People keep up with their favorite newscasts, blogs, websites, and other social media tools by using the tool simple syndication. This allows website owners to update their websites with fresh content. An easy, standardized form of content distribution. RSS is for website creators to publish new content on their websites. This includes all things like weather forecasts, blogs, podcasts, and other forms of social communication. When a website publishes new content, RSS will send its subscribers updates and notifications. Coletta Whitehead’s was instructive because it explains to the reader where to find the RSS feed, what it does, and how it works. Whitehead also informs her readers what The RSS reader is. “ Think of an RSS read...

It scares me how all our data on our phones is stored forever. Sometimes we forget how we are constantly being seen and recorded through our devices, people who feel more comfortable behind the screens of their devices shouldn’t feel that way to a certain extent. We are constantly being supervised, and all of the information is stored in a piece of software that can be quickly retrieved. Yes, your phone makes it easier to communicate with others and can help you call 911 in an emergency but with just a simple web search it can also reveal very personal information. Information like your IP address, apps, phone operating system, location, and more. Your device also notices what you search online and hears what you speak about which explains algorithms in social media applications...

Social networking enables you to organize, promote, share, and interact conveniently from someone else's home. The world has been greatly influenced by social media, which has grown to be one of the world's largest industries.  2.  The social networking sites that I use are Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, and Facebook.  3.  I use Instagram to post pictures and follow a lot of soccer pages. TikTok and Youtube are used at work when I have nothing to do. I watch a lot of different videos like documentaries and other sports podcasts. Facebook is used to talk to my family back in Colombia. All of my older family members in Colombia use Facebook so this app makes it easier to communicate with them.  4. I use Instagram occasionally during the day, but I only enjoy using it a little. TikTok and Youtube are the ones I u...
